Boca Reservoir Sunset...

It looked like it was going to be a great sunset tonight so Nana and I headed out to nearby Boca Reservoir to see what we could find. Unfortunately, the great clouds moved to the east and effectively out of play. But, I did find a patch of Lupine and Mules Ears to use as a foreground for what was left of the sky. Here are the results...

All in all, not too bad for a 10 minute trip...

Take care,

Bill

Wildflowers and Redwoods...

The wildflowers are starting to bloom here in the mountains and I have been trying to get some photos when I am able. I have not yet made it to some of the higher elevations but hope to in the near future. In the meantime, here are a couple of recent photos...

Lupines backlit in the morning sun...

Nana and I also had the opportunity to spend some time in Redwood National Park along California's north coast recently. We were hoping to photograph the annual Rhododendron bloom among the redwoods in dramatic, foggy light - usually the norm for the this time of year. Unfortunately, the weather was TOO NICE - crystal clear and warm...great for tourists, not so great for photographers. I did manage to get some photos however...

Anyway, take care all and have a good summer...

New Public Display...

I am pleased to announce that I am back at "The Dam Cafe", 55 West Lake Blvd in Tahoe City for the summer season. I have numerous photographs on display and will be changing them frequently.

The Dam Cafe is a great spot to stop for your morning coffee on the way to work or play. Conveniently located at the Tahoe City "Wye", the Dam Cafe features organic coffee and delectable treats in a friendly "local" atmosphere.

If you get the chance, please stop by. As a reminder, this is one of the venues in the area that also carries a selection of my photo greeting cards.

I hope to see you there...
