Redwoods Workshop Scouting Trip...

Nana and I had the opportunity to head out to the Northern California and Southern Oregon coasts to scout for my upcoming Photography Workshop next week. We encountered a variety of conditions from total sunshine to pouring rain to pea soup fog. Just what one would expect in such a beautiful place. But - we had a good time, saw some beautiful sights and logged a few hundred miles. Here are some of the fruits of our efforts...

Crescent City Flowers...

Crescent City Harbor...

Cal-Barrel Road, HDR Blend...

Damnation Creek Trail in the fog...

Trinidad Memorial Lighthouse in the late afternoon light...

Sunset at Trinidad Beach...

Damnation Creek Trail, HDR Blend...

Two clover petals on some moss...who knew the underside of the clover was this reddish-purple?

Nana along the rainy trail...

Post sunset light at Trinidad Beach...

Rhododendrons in bloom amongst the redwoods...

Can't wait to take our clients to these same spots next week!

See ya,

Bill

  • Gorgeous photos! I was missing my old Del Norte home when I came across your photos.

Just a note: those gorgeous leaves with the purple undersides are redwood sorrel. Beautiful!
