Fall in the Eastern Sierra...

I have spent time in the last week chasing the fall colors in the Eastern Sierra Nevada. Unfortunately, conditions have been hit and miss. Some areas are already past prime and others, still green. It was not unusual to find trees that were green, yellow and bare - all in the same stand. Overall, I felt that most displays were simply "dull" this year. Oh well...this was not my fall for outstanding conditions.

Here are a few frames...

Some nice Maple leaves - Lake Tahoe...

Forest floor, Hope Valley...

Virginia Lakes Road - Conway Summit, near Mono Lake...

Until next time...here's hoping for good light!

Bill
