It was a great time for our furnace to give out! My goal was to photograph Ruby Lake at both sunrise and sunset, as well as the picturesque mountains and valleys in the area. We had snow and rain on Saturday which would provide the needed flow and Sunday was forecast to be perfectly clear.True to the forecast, Sunday was beautiful. While there, we drove up to Crater Lake National Park.  Unfortunately, high clouds and smoke in the area killed most of the photographic opportunities there. Unfortunately, conditions have been hit and miss.  Some areas are already past prime and others, still green. Unfortunately, Mother Nature did not cooperate with my plans.  As I arrived in the Ridgway and Telluride area, I was greeted with about 16-24" of new snow.  Plus, the trees were not in prime shape or color.  There was still a lot of green and not much yellow or orange.
